Harvesting Guidelines | Gather flowers at their peak in the morning after dew has evaporated.

Medicinal Properties |
Chamomile makes a delicious, soothing tea helpful for easing anxiety and tension. Perfectly safe for young children.

It is believed that chamomile relaxes the smooth muscles of the digestive tract and reproductive tracts, helping to relieve cramping and digestive discomforts.

As a mild bitter and liver stimulant, chamomile can help stimulate appetite and soothe the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. It is also often used as an after-dinner tea to ease digestion. Cooling chamomile’s carminative, antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, and nervine nature make it a wonderful ally for anyone with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) or IBS-like symptoms and other digestive or nervous disorders (The Herbal Academy).

How to Grow |
Easy to grow, beginner. Great in pots, planters and in the ground. Hardy Annual.

Sew direct or raise seedlings (15mm) in Spring or Autumn.

Germinates in 7 - 14 days. 65 days until maturity.

Space 30cm apart. Plant grows to 50cm.

Prefers full sun and well draining soil.

We love medicinal plants here on our small farm and have joined with The Seed Collection to bring you beautiful medicinal plants that you can grow and learn about. So much of being a Herbalist is touching, watching and experiencing plants grow. Over time, we will share our seeds with you from our garden.
